Reading –
Read for 20 minutes – talk to someone about your book if you can. If someone can ask you questions about your book, even better! Don’t forget you can read ‘First News’ too, or listen to some stories using these links:
I have given you this link before – it is for books online, in case you are running out!!
PE –
Choose a PE activity from the PE icon or tune in to ‘P.E. with Joe’, although I think he has injured himself, but I believe his wife is taking over!! Just make sure you do something active!!
English –
I have attached a book called ‘Coronavirus, A book for children’. I would like you to read and discuss this with a trusted grown up. If your grown-ups are busy today, don’t worry, do it another day. We discussed coronavirus at school a lot, but hopefully this book will help you understand all you need to about it.
Maths
To be able to add and subtract fractions
We have done this at school, but there is lots to remember – I hope this helps, you do exactly the same to add and subtract – but obviously make sure you do the correct operation.
The sheet I have attached gets harder as you go on. Spend about half an hour doing the sheet BUT START WHERE YOU THINK YOUR LEVEL IS. The first section is very easy – you don’t even need to change the denominator. Most of you can start further down.
Just email me if you’re not sure.
Topic
To locate key mountains in the world
Watch, this video:
Hopefully you will have included the mountain ranges in this video on your map from last week. Today I would like you add specific mountains to your map, for example, Mount Everest.
You can use an atlas if you have one, use your own online research, or use the map I have attached.
Please make sure your mountains have CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!
