Woodside has moved to remote learning for most children. We are only open for vulnerable and critical key worker children. Our nursery is open, but with limited capacity at the moment, based on our risk assessment. If you would like your child to attend please let us know.

BBC radio and rhymesHelp your child to learn traditional nursery rhymes and songs or listen to a children's radio broadcast.
Oxford Owl phonics guideInformation for adults about phonics. I will share more information about phonics on Tapestry after Easter. Nursery work on Phase One activities but children with an interest in letter sounds will be moving on to Phase 2 soon.
When we teach letters in nursery, our focus is on the letter sounds rather than letter names. This video shows how to make those sounds clearly which will help with blending and segmenting to hear words.

These rhymes help children to form letters correctly - say the rhyme as you write the letter. Nursery children can paint huge letters with water outside or write huge letters in the air.
