For your maths tasks, go to and complete the activity and then go to and complete the activities. There are videos and games to play.


If anybody would like to have a game of Times Tables Rock Stars, I propose that at 10:45am-11:15am and/or 2:15pm-2:45pm you log on and we can try and get some games going against each other. I have put two times in case there are some of you who can't get on at one of those times and we will play daily!

No one has been able to beat me yet! My personal best is 75. Bring it on!



For your English task, you are going to write a recount from the point of view of either Tepeu or Gucumatz from the Mayan Creation Story. There is a PowerPoint below! You will have completed the comprehension on the story yesterday so this will give you more of an idea about how the Mayans believed the world, etc... came to be. I will leave some resources below to help with a recount but you will need to be in role as either or the two characters mentioned and I am looking for expressive and adventurous vocabulary, parentheses, relative clauses, subjunctive form, fronted adverbials and paragraphs. (Pretty much everything mentioned over the last few weeks!). Make this as 'Year 6' as you can and see if you can impress me!


There is a spelling list below for you to practise. I do not expect you to practise all of the spellings on the list. I would select maybe 7 or 8 from each section to practise. I would suggest that you try them and see which ones you know you need to work on!



Our new science topic would be looking at 'Animals including humans' so we are going to focus on the body. We start here by identifying the main parts of the human circulatory system, and descrbe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood. This should really help you to understand what is going on in your body right now for you to be able to read this!

I have included links and resources below to help. You may wish to do a poster, leaflet, PowerPoint, fact file, create a song, write a poem, create a video as a scientist/doctor explaining the parts or anything else that you may think of to show what you have learnt. - Something aimed at more confident readers (and parents) - Quiz
