Reading – read for 20 minutes – talk to someone about your book if you can. If someone can ask you questions about your book, even better! Don’t forget you can read ‘First News’ too, or listen to some stories using these links:
I have given you this link before – it is for books online, in case you are running out!!

PE

Choose a PE activity from the PE icon or tune in to ‘P.E. with Joe’!

English

Complete another river research.

I would like you to research a famous river. Some examples are: The Thames, The Ganges, The Nile, The Amazon, The Volga, and The Yangtze. The Rhine and many more.

I would like you to find out: the country/countries it is in, the length, the source and mouth, the wildlife and plants, how the river is used and any other facts you can find.

Just write your research as rough notes – we will write it up later.

Maths

To be able to identify missing angles

Watch this video:

Finding a missing angle in a triangle

GCSE Maths revision tutorial video. For the full list of videos and more revision resources visit www.mathsgenie.co.uk.

In summary, to find a missing angle of a triangle, add the two angles you know and subtract that from 180 (C1 / C2).

If you want to challenge yourself further, and do C3, use the same idea with the facts below.

Triangle = 180 degrees

Right angle= 90 degrees

Straight line = 180 degrees

Circle = 360 degrees

Topic

Our science topic this term is ‘Life cycles’

I would like you to have a look at the world around you. If you have a garden, you can use that, if not maybe you could have a look around during your daily exercise.

What is happening in the natural world? Is anything growing? Can you identify any plants or animals you can see?

Use the guides I have attached to help you identify what you see. To save ink – take photos of what you see and look at the guides when you have finished.
