Your task was to write a newspaper report on Charles Darwin's publishing of his discoveries from his voyages around the world. This newspaper report should have included the features of a normal newspaper report: Headline, sub-headline, introductory paragraph including the 5 W's (who, what, when, where, why), picture, caption, direct speech, reported speech, concluding paragraph. As well as: fronted adverbials, relative clauses and possibly parenthesis to make your work at a year 6 level!

Now is the time to edit and improve (with whatever pen/pencil is to hand - it doesn't need to be green!) ensuring that all of the above features were included and that you have used passive voice when reporting, quotes with inverted commas for direct speech and colons and bullet points.

This can still be done on paper or completed electronically.

I would then love to see your front pages of your newspaper from yesterday and your finished article on Darwin's discoveries!

Use either of the links below to choose a DT/craft activity to complete. There are over a hundred in total to choose from and there are video tutorials and instructions for how to make them.

These can(?) all be made from recycled materials/things you may have at home.

I would love to see attention to detail and pictures of making/finished products when you are done.

Have fun! Be safe!
