Families First support Portal What is Families First? Families First is the term used in Hertfordshire for services that work together to support families who need extra help. These are also known as early help services. We all experience difficulties at some point. Families First can help you find early help and information to prevent issues from getting worse. If you need more help than your usual support network - for example your health visitor, school, doctor or family centre - we can work with you and your family to create a package of support. Ask for support. Who is it for? Families First is available to all Hertfordshire families with children under 18 (25 if they have a learning need or disability). Issues we can help with: parenting mental and physical health problems drug or alcohol dependency domestic abuse school related concerns – such as your child is not attending school debt problems risk of becoming homeless.

Winston's Wish Winston’s Wish is a charity that helps children, teenagers and young adults (up to the age of 25) find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief. Coral scribble line We provide digital bereavement information, advice and support for young people across the UK who are grieving the death of someone important to them. We also help advise the adults who are caring for young grieving people including parents, school staff and healthcare professionals.

NSPCC- advice and support for parents There's no such thing as a perfect parent. One day all's calm, the next it's chaos. However it's going, we're here with advice and support for parents and carers.

Nessie We support the positive mental health of children and young people. We do this three ways: We offer 1-1 and group arts therapies for children and young people; We offer training and supervision of professionals in educational settings; We offer training forums and support to parents and carers.
