If anybody would like to have a game of Times Tables Rock Stars, I propose that at 10:45am-11:15am and/or 2:15pm-2:45pm you log on and we can try and get some games going against each other. I have put two times in case there are some of you who can't get on at one of those times and we will play daily!

I am looking for people to beat me! My personal best is now 69. Bring it on!

English:

For your English task, I would like you to edit your set of instructions for how to construct your Rube Goldberg Machine and how it works. When editing, look for how precise the instructions are. If you have just written 'move ____', make sure to explain (using imperative verbs and adverbs) exactly how to move ____. Remember that there should be plenty of fronted adverbials (using the example ones as a guide) and these should all link together. Try to use fronted adverbials other than 'time' fronted adverbials and think about using 'cause and effect' ones - see the examples. Ensure that you have also used a range of punctuation and parentheses to make these really stand out.

There is a spelling list below for you to practise. I do not expect you to practise all of the spellings on the list. I would select maybe 7 or 8 from each section to practise. I would suggest that you try them and see which ones you know you need to work on!

DT:

For your DT task today, I would like you to construct your final version of a Rube Goldberg Machine to fulfil a purpose. You will need to ensure that your structures involved are stable so that they do not fall or break, and that your materials used are suitable for what you are trying to achieve. You will have created a prototype or a version that may not be complete but now, using your evaluations from yesterday, you will know what works, what does not, what needs improving and how to improve your prototype.

Once you have got your Machine working, film it in action fulfilling its purpose and send in your videos for me to see! If you are happy for me to add your video up, please let me know.
