PTA update

2020/21

With no Christmas or Summer Fairs possible, we missed out on a lot of fun and lost a big funding stream worth £thousands to the school. We did manage to organise a few events in 2020/21 though and now want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the Woodside parents for your support. Altogether, we raised just shy of £4,000!

2021/22

We're so pleased to see lots of new faces joining the PTA for the coming year! As you can see in the list below, we're stronger than ever (and Year 2 parents - if you fancy it, please do come along and join us wink).

We've got some fantastic ideas for this year and can't wait to tell you all about it in the coming weeks. Watch this space...

Any money we raise this year will go towards refurbishing the playgrounds.

About Woodside PTA

A big hello from the Woodside PTA team laugh

Our aim is to raise extra money for the school, to help fund things which would not otherwise be available for the children. In the past, this included things such as the climbing frames, new library books and iPads. In recent years, money raised has helped to transform the Year 2 and Reception classrooms.

None of it would be possible without the continued support of the parents and staff of Woodside. You can help by attending events, joining our 'Helper List', donating raffle prizes... or try asking your employer's HR department about match funding schemes. Our charity number is 290550.

All players are also entered into a wider weekly draw for £25,000. 40p in every £1 played will be donated to the school. As a comparison, the National Lottery donates 28p in the pound to good causes. Click here to find out more.

Butlin's donation scheme

1. Go to butlins.com/PTA

2. Under the How to Redeem section, click ‘Book a Break’

3. Enter the code WPTA2 and check that Woodside Primary PTA appears

4. Check availability and book your break as normal

We’ve checked a few example holidays, with the code and without. The price doesn’t change, so the money given to Woodside is a genuine charity donation

5. Butlin’s will make their donation to the school 90 days after your return
