Collect up any outgrown/unwanted clothes over the Easter holidays.
Bag2School will take them off your hands, recycle them, and pay Woodside for each kilo collected.
Please bring everything to the school gate in tied up dustbin bags between 8.30 and 9am on the 19th April.
Yes please - adults and kids clothes, paired shoes, coats, bags, belts, hats, jewellery, teddy bears, linen, curtains
No thanks - school/work uniform with logos, duvets, pillows, blankets, soiled/ripped clothing
We'll continue to raise money whenever we can this year and all money will go towards Chromebooks for the children.
Thank you for supporting the non-uniform day, the Bag2School clothes collection and most recently the Santa letters and Mums & Dads Christmas gifts. Altogether, we have raised over £1,000 so far.
There are a few simple ways in which you can support the school online throughout the year... please read below for ideas.
Log in to www.smile.amazon.co.uk and select The Woodside Parent Teacher Association - you'll be supporting the school every time you shop because Amazon will make a small donation. If you add the reminder, Amazon will remember to take you to Smile, even if you forget! If you have the Amazon app, look for 'smile' in the settings.
Use easyfundraising to shop with over 3,600 retailers including Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com, eBay, Boden, and M&S.
Every time you shop, you’ll raise a free donation, it’s that easy! Click here to find out more and make sure you select Woodside Primary School.
Sign up for one or more ticket per week and you could be a winner. Every week, a Woodside ticket is guaranteed to win a small cash prize. All players are also entered into a wider weekly draw for £25,000. 40p in every £1 played will be donated to the school. As a comparison, the National Lottery donates 28p in the pound to good causes. Click here to find out more.
1. Go to butlins.com/PTA
2. Under the How to Redeem section, click ‘Book a Break’
3. Enter the code WPTA2 and check that Woodside Primary PTA appears
4. Check availability and book your break as normal
We’ve checked a few example holidays, with the code and without. The price doesn’t change, so the money given to Woodside is a genuine charity donation
5. Butlin’s will make their donation to the school 90 days after your return
A big hello from the Woodside PTA team
Money raised over the years has helped to fund a minibus, adventure climbing frames, library books, iPads and interactive whiteboards. In 2018/19, we were delighted to hand the school a cheque for £20,000, which was used to refurbish the Year 2 classroom and in 2019/2020 we raised £9,000 towards the new Reception canopy.
None of this would be possible without the continued support of the parents and staff of Woodside. You can help by attending events, joining our 'Helper List', donating raffle prizes... or try asking your employer's HR department about match funding schemes. Our charity number is 290550.
