Woodside Primary School

Believe, Achieve, Succeed

** Next event - Slumber Party 24th January - details below **

A big hello from the Woodside PTA laugh. Please scroll down to see what's happening this term.

Money raised over the years has helped to fund a minibus, adventure climbing frames, library books, iPads and interactive whiteboards. In 2018/19,  we were delighted to hand the school a cheque for £20,000, which was used to refurbish the Year 2 classroom.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of the parents and staff of Woodside. You can help by attending events, joining our 'Helper List', donating raffle prizes... or try asking your employer's HR department about match funding schemes. Our charity number is 290550.

Reserve places in advance by bringing £3.50 in a named envelope to any PTA member. Please let us know which film children would like to watch.

KS1 playground: Natalie Gibbons, Tania Cioffi, Keeley Corbally & Peri-Jayne Dela Cruz

KS2 playground: Lindsay Payton, Sarah Brammer, Jade Penny & Jaynie Kilkenny

Or see Mrs. Roper in the office (mornings only)

Please note:

  • You'll need to give a signature on arrival, with permission for children to watch the film
  • Arrive from 5.30pm (movies start at 6pm) - collect at 8pm
  • Please don't bring any other snacks

We're going green!

We're trying to reduce single use plastic at our PTA events. For our slumber party, please can children bring an empty school water bottle, which we can fill with squash.

Thank you

Sponsored Pancake Flip - Tuesday 25th February

On Shrove Tuesday, the children will be seeing how many pancake flips they can do. Sponsor forms will be sent home before half term and you can sponsor per flip (health warning: some counting in the past has been 'generous' smiley) or a set amount for the event. Please ask grandparents, family, neighbours - it's good fun for the children and a great way to raise money for the school.
