Woodside Primary School

Believe, Achieve, Succeed

** Next event - Christmas Fayre 24th November - details below **

A big hello from the Woodside PTA laugh - please read on for this term's activities.

Money raised over the years has helped to fund a minibus, adventure climbing frames, library books, iPads and interactive whiteboards. In 2018/19,  we were delighted to hand the school a cheque for £20,000, which was used to refurbish the Year 2 classroom.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of the parents and staff of Woodside. You can help by attending events, joining our 'Helper List', donating raffle prizes... or try asking your employer's HR department about match funding schemes. Our charity number is 290550.

Kick start your festivities at our fabulous Christmas Fayre!

Lots of fun for all the family - meet Father Christmas is his grotto, enjoy delicious pasta courtesy of Zero Ristorante, browse for Christmas gifts, listen to the Woodside Choir and have a go at our festive games with plenty of chances to win prizes. Mums and Dads can even enjoy mulled wine and a mince pie.

Help needed

We can't do it without you!

  • Volunteer to run a stall (12-2pm or 2-3.30pm)
  • Help us set up / tidy away
  • Come along and have fun and bring your friends and family!

Non Uniform Day - Friday 22nd November

As 'payment', please bring a bottle of wine or box of chocs per child. We'll use these in our Tombola at the Christmas Fayre.

Coin Collection

Children have decorated empty jars in class. Then it's over to you to fill them up with spare coins over the coming weeks and bring back to school on 6th December. The children will learn about the coin values and the older ones will have a count up. Last year this event raised an amazing £961.53, so all those coppers, silver coins and the odd gold ones really do add up!

Woodside Secret Shoppers - Friday 13th December

Children can choose gifts for their family. They'll be wrapped and ready to go straight under your tree. No peeking!

£2.50 per gift; please send in an envelope marked with who the gifts are for (Mum/Dad/Grandma/Grandad etc.)
